The apo.com Group, a logistics and IT service provider for apodiscounter.de and other pharmaceuticals and cosmetics webshops, wished to set up a modern, highly available IT infrastructure and was in search of a future-oriented solution for this. It was especially important here that the data center in question meet the most stringent security requirements while also possessing potential for growth. The primary data center in Leuna had long fulfilled its duties successfully, but was now nearing its capacity limits. Nor did the facility offer the space for anticipated ex-pansion required to serve the ever-increasing number of online pharmacies.
