Challenge
The demands on the performance of online games are high – any disruption or even termination due to technical problems spoils the fun and could lead to participants turning their backs on the platform. When the IT infrastructure needed to be expanded as a result of GameDuell’s strong growth, the company looked for a partner who could guarantee technical reliability.
Solution
In noris network, GameDuell found a data center operator and Internet service provider with the necessary know-how and resources to operate the portal securely and with high performance at all times, despite the growing number of users. The virtualization platform set up by noris network AG is based on a powerful server farm with 40 Citrix XenServers. With a total of 2 terabytes of RAM, this allows the continuous operation of various online game rounds and the simultaneous access of several tens of thousands of players from Europe and the USA.

The virtualized server farm offers high reliability and speed, two of the most important criteria for carefree gaming fun.
