RCI Bank and Services Deutschland is a brand of RCI Banque S.A. Niederlassung Deutschland, the German branch of the French RCI Banque S.A., which is active in 36 countries worldwide. As Renault Financial Services, Dacia Financial Services and Nissan Financial Services, RCI Banque Deutschland, together with its partner RCI Versicherungs-Service GmbH, distributes its products – financing, leasing, insurance and services – through Renault, Dacia, Alpine and Nissan car dealers. As Renault Bank direkt, RCI Banque Deutschland is also successful in the deposit business with call money and fixed-term deposit accounts.
Challenge
As Renault Financial Services, Dacia Financial Services and Nissan Financial Services, RCI Bank and Services Deutschland sells its financing, leasing, and insurance products via car dealers of the Renault, Dacia, Alpine and Nissan brands. A data centre service provider was sought as part of a migration project. In addition to some central systems in France, numerous systems were to be operated in bank-secure data centres in Germany in the future in order to make the IT systems for leasing and financing, as well as dealer workstation and configuration systems, more efficient.
Solution
The German branch of RCI Bank and Services began a tendering process with extensive requirements and finally invited potential service providers to a briefing. During the round of questions from the providers, noris network stood out for being particularly well-prepared. The questions demonstrated a great understanding of the bank’s technical and regulatory requirements. Thanks to its certified high-security data centres and its numerous reference customers from the financial sector, noris network was awarded the contract.
Project success
A letter of intent was signed at the end of October 2019. On this basis, noris network provided the infrastructure and systems so that the customer could test the applications and migration paths in the new setup at an early stage. When the contract was signed in September 2020, the customer only had to accept the installations – operations have been running since October 2020. Numerous functions for banking transactions and dealer workstations are now significantly more powerful and RCI Bank and Services Germany is optimally supported in its audits.
